I've purchased a Thai 1 2 Call (AIC) pre-paid SIM. I can not read Thai. Doe
anyone know if I can used this SIM for data access in an unlocked Sierra
Wireless notebook pc card. What are the charges. What else do I need to
know?

Cheers,
Mike H.

I've been to Thailand and used the 1-2-Callcard from AIS.
AIS is the largest mobile network in Thailand.
I suggest you stop by one of their sales offices in Bangkok and ask them how
to use their data services.

I use a One-2-Call SIM to connect my Sony Vaio to the internet via a
Nokia 6230 phone. The GPRS Access Point I use is "Internet" and the
dial-up number is *99***#

There's a list of configuration settings for various device at:
http://www.mobilelife.co.th/mobile [...] /index.htm

Some of it is in Thai, but there's enough English there to enable you
to find what you need.

I'm not sure what the cost is, but its not expensive.

Sawasdee khrup - to start in the right vein

If you are really stuck, most cities in Thailand have a "TELEWIZ" shop -
most helpful with everything that you need. Not all shops have English
speakers but that does not stop them being helpful and getting the job done.

Often an English speaker at Head Office will call you back on your mobile to
go through your problem - and invariably fix it QUICKLY.

Good luck and enjoy TH, Chris
