Hello,

Windows XP Pro SP2 on Motion Computing Tablet PC, Holux GPS ... the tablet
can't see the Holux sometimes. The Holux blinks blue once a second,
according to the manual that means it's broadcasting. I have paired it with
the tablet and established the secret code between the two devices.
Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Installed new Bluetooth software on the
laptop, still intermittent.

Any thoughts?

SP2 has its own built in Bluetooth connectivity. This does not coexist
well with "foreign" Bluetooth drivers. Try to deinstall all Bluetoooth
software, especially SP2's bluetooth connectivity, and then reinstall
you drivers which hopefully are coming from Widcomm, which is in most
cases working well.
