This Friday morning, you will have the opportunity to buy laptops
brand-new as low as $499 from stores like BestBuy, Compusa, Microcenter,
etc.

The current low price killer is at BestBuy: $499 out the door for a
Toshiba notebook.

Do get up a few hours early and get in line to get these steals! (3-4
hours minimum before store opening time for all BestBuy sales) If
you're not among the first ## quantity available per store, you won't
get one because they'll have run out!

For Microcenter, you can leverage the $100 Microcenter VISA card
application same-day to take another $100 off the PC purchase if you see
a good deal there.

David --

Does the Toshiba include Win XP as the installed OS?

If not, what does it have?

Yes. Anyways, if you weren't in line at 2:30am - 3am in front of
most BestBuy Stores, forget it! Missed the deal. They did have quite a
few in most stores(min of 25, but most had 50+), but you did have to be
among the first xx in line to get one. Great deal at $499, but if you
missed it, keep your eyes open - Xmas sale, Jan/Feb sale are among the
other good times they'll have sales in a lot of stores.

In the meantime, spot the Sunday newspaper ads on Saturday, read
www.fatwallet.com/forums/ -> hot deals, remember dell.com has the
Inspiron 1100 for about $599 all the time, and microcenter.com stores
lets you take $100 off any laptop if you sign up for their Microcenter
credit card in-store, same-day and buy it using the card.
