I love this thing. I'm still bummed that Minolta didn't aim for 8mp or more,
but hell, Nikon still has a 4mp digital SLR that goes for over 3,000 US, so I
guess I didn't do too badly.

Consider me suitably envious. Don't sweat the 3000 x 2000, makes perfectly
acceptable prints through 15x10 inches. I hope you have some decent lenses.

I've been collecting Minolta lenses for many years. My favorites are my 80-200
2.8 High Speed zoom and 16mm wide angle. I have to use Genuine Fractals because
some of the shots are going to be blown up for 2-page magazine spreads and 6mp
just doesn't cut it at that size at 300dpi. My old publishing company has been
using Canon D10s and doing the Genuine Fractal thing for a couple of years now
in all their magazine titles and it works out quite well.
