thats the setup im thiking about upgrading to. the case is big good space alot of cooling, and thats how i like it xD. is it worth going for a core i7 motherboard and a core i7 cpu? for gaming only, and how are the cheap Core i7 motherboards? is it woth going for a cheap core i7 motherboard insted of that? and this mobo i choosen Supports Crossfire in 8x8 mode. how much does it increse the performence to have 16x16 then 8x8 crossfire?

8x8 vs 16x16 in SLI or xfire to my readings is low maybe 3% differnt ( plz correct my if i am wrong )

I think for what you will spend on that C2Q setup you could go with a i5 setup that will be good for gamming.

The difference between 8x/8x and 16x/16x isnt much.

If you can afford it an i5 is better and the LGA 1156 socket actually has upgrade options in the future where as the LGA 775 socket is EOL and there wont be anything new coming out except maybe a few low power options.

your in the same boat as me and im getitng a p55 board w/ a i5
heres wat i recommend:
EVGA P55 Standard Board
4GB DDR3 Dual channel ram (its pretty cheap now)
core i5 2.6 (easily clocked to 3.5 on air w/ this board)
Any Samsung monitor is GREAT!
ANY CASE (make this your last priority, who sees your computer XD)

Whats the make and model of the PSU, there is a lot of variation in the quality and available power of similarly rated PSUs.

The mobo i posted will do xfire or sli @ 8x8

Your GPU is ok and will be good to xfire latter when you get the newer monitor

Make sure your HDD / DVDs are sata

I would get a better PSU tho if your going to xfire latter

One of theses will do
http://www.shg.dk/products/product [...] Id=2146686

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817371025

http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Prod [...] st=froogle

I could not find a PSU on the website you posted but try and find any of thos 3 whare you live will give you good power for your PC to xfire latter
