Ok so i have a modem that supports 1Gbit and i have a bord that supports the same ammount i do belive my switch is supporting it as well but let's take it's not the MODEM or the BORD could it be Cable issued or swich issued cause if not could it be settings wise

What cable are you using???If its Cat5e and above it should be fine...
