I am trying to put my guts from my old desktop into a new case, but I put all the pieces in and it doesn't turn on. I am not sure if it is the power supply or maybe the motherboard isn't compatible with this case or what.

Old Desktop: Dell Dimension 2400 Standard parts.
New Case: Raidmax Smilodon

Any information will be helpful and I am in the process of picking a motherboard any suggestions..

Thanks in advance this site is the best..

I put the standoff's in. I think my problem was I forgot to discharge the static and does the original fan for the board need to be installled

Don't feel bad, it happen on most people on the "first time"... :)
So, what happen now? Did your machine run well?

I wouldn't really be worried about static unless you felt a shock. Are you sure you hooked up everything correctly? Did you plug in the headers for the power button into the motherboard correctly? Is the power button on the power supply turned to the on position?

I connected everything minus the front speaker jack and that was becuse the board doesn't have the right connector for this case. The power case doesn't have an on or off switch just one that says 115 and 230. What is weird is I put all the parts in the case and the lights lite up and the fans worked, but since there it wasn't turning on correctly I put it back into my old case and it wouldn't come back on. Now the lights and fans don't turn on either. The only things I can think of is the board is bad or there is something wrong with the power supply. If one of those is the case then anyone recommend a good power supply or motherboard that would be good for this case and gaming.
