EVGA GTX 275 Overclock

In Evga precision tuning, when my gpu isnt doing anything graphics intensive its clock rate is 301 and the shader clock is 602
also the memory clock is at 100
i have the windows 7 7100 RC build and i "think" i overclocked it to 747 clock 1680 shader and 1331 memory but the test button is always greyed out
when it does do something graphics intensive tho, my game lags and the framerates drop below 20 and that u can notice it
can any1 help me?

What is your power supply? I've had problems with my 9800gtx+ throttling down to 301mhz, as shown by evga precision, during graphics intensive situations in game. I found that replacing the power supply with one that had adequate amps on the 12v fixed the problem.
does evga precision show that ur video card is getting underclocked when ur doing something graphics intensive?
The low idle clock speeds are normal.
It is simply the chip hitting it's power saving state.
You are probably lagging in games because you have overclocked to far and are overheating under load.
Download Rivatuner and use it to handle your overclocking and keeping track of your temps.
After you have used Rivatuner to properly overclock your card, use ATI Tool or VCST to test your overclocks.
Lower your overclock or use Rivatuner to raise your fan speeds as needed.

^right, the low power states are normal. To clear up, my situation was it throttling to low power mode during graphics intensive situations, not just when I was not doing anything.
I dont see a need to overclock a 275 unless it is absolutely necessary......

That happens to me after an unsuccessful overclock. The display driver will stop working but recover, and my GTX 275 will stay in power saving mode no matter what until I reboot.
thats not the problem........it stay's in the low power state even when im doing something graphically intensive
any answers?
yea, after the driver reset, it stayed at 400mhz core clock but is there any other good gpu overclocking programs?
