i am implementing an IP telephone network but have a problem with getting the video sending to work. i have tried codes i could get on the internet but still didnt work. Am using the asterisk FreePBX. All other features are working except the video. what do i do

Secondly i want to know how the legth of category 6 cables will affect the quality of the voice during the calls. Will the quality reduce as length increases or will remain same for a specific range or will be same at anylength. Can the quality still be gauranteed for a 100m length

I can answer the cat6 cable length question for ya. In our office we have voip devices running off very long ethernet cables, and several video phones as well. We don't notice any difference between a 6 foot cable and 50 foot cable. 100 meters is pretty long, but honestly, it won't have an affect on quality or delay.

Hi,

Yes it is good to use as, this is an ethernet cable which is a sixth generation f twisted pair ethernet cabling. It contains four pairs of copper wire and it supports gigabit ethernet and supports good communications with a better speed.

Thanks!

Cat6 and Cat6e are good for the IP telephony, 100 meters is the max accepted for the TIA/EIA, so, with 90 meters or less you should have no problem with the quality.
