Hi,

I have a dilemma and I hope you could help me to resolve it.

I would like to listen to a digital radio-internet broadcast through my main
speakers.

Is there a way to connect my computer, either laptop or desktop, to my
preamp -B&K Reference 50 - in a method that the signal is transferred
digitally? If yes, would the preamp able to decode that signal (...I think
is is SureStream)?

Please, suggestions are welcome, thank you.

Al

The computer decodes the digital signal to analog... not the preamp. I think
all you'd need to do in this situation would be to buy a mini headphone jack
to RCA phono coupler. Hook the headphone jack to the laptop and the RCA
plugs to the preamp. This works better with some laptops than others due to
digital "hash" and white noise through the headphone jack that some laptops
are plagued with. Some companies make a converter that uses a USB port
direct to RCA out jacks that eliminates this problem.

Should be fairly easy. I do it all the time. Good luck.
