Hi,
I am looking at an ASUS S5200N (12 inch) laptop. Any reports (good or
bad) on ASUS laptops in general? I will be using Linux on it.

Thanks
n

I have had an Asus TravelMate 290LMi for about 6 months now. Very pleased
with both price and performance. This is my third laptop (Compaq and HP
other two). This is the best of the three.

TravelMate is 'Acer' but not 'Asus'. I have two Asus Notebooks (an 5 years
old but still working F7400 and a new M6000N), I satisfy with the
performance and the qualities. I think the heat of the M6000N is a little
bit high but not too bad. I wonder how it is doing with a more compact
notebook like S5200N. Anyway, I think I will still choose a S5200N if I
want a smaller one.
