Hello,

At the moment I am orientating on the development of a demonstration
for a mobile video access system. This systems comprises of a PC
workstation and a PDA with Windows Mobile 2003. The PC is connected to
a webcam, a headset and IO ports for detection of a calling signal and
opening of a door. The PDA is supplied with a headset.

In the basis this is a kind of peer2peer videophone application, to
develop this system I need some kind of videophone Software Development
Kit to add own functionality (I/O switching functions) to the
videophone functionality.

For the PC there are a variaty of solutions available. For the PDA
I've only found 2 product so far which possibly could be used with
WM2003: PocketBone and Microsoft Portrait. Both products are not really
suitable for my own development because, it looks like development on
the PocketBone product has been stopped a few years ago and for MS
Portrait a complex licensing structure has to be followed to use its
technology.

Can anybody point me to other product which I can use for this system?

Thanks, regards Gijs

PocketBone later was developed by IPTelenet. Their H263 client works
quite well for PPC and you might be able to request a beta licence and
possibly a SDK if it's available by now (it's mostly for device
manufacturers). Email them and ask ;

** Sorry, my mistake, not IPTelenet (I mixed that up with another H323
phone beta I did) it's TABLETMedia's iFon :
