No DirectX, the closest you'll find is "GAPI" - google for it for more
info ;-)

not true. the answer is version specific.

CE 5.0 has a flavor of DX 8, but D3D has no shaders.

CE 4.2 has a flavor of DX 6.

previous to that, GAPI might be the right choice.

what version of CE is of interest?
