I have 900 dollars and people say that sony laptops are the best. so what kind of a sony laptop should i buy? or is sony the best? I want not a big screen it must be normal..i am a digitally homeless woman can u help me?

which laptop is the best is very subjective. i have a strong preference to Lenovo laptops. reliable, sturdy, travel well. i like the appearance of the Sony laptops but i never messed with one long enough to draw any conclusions.

What are you looking to use on the laptop, the apps you run will go some way to decide what's best

Good thing this site isn't full of apple fanboys otherwise there would be a flurry of 'Macbook'

If your using it for internet use then get a netbook, the new Asus EEE PC 1000HE's look quite nice. Sony laptops are nice but sometimes the tend to be a bit overpriced. If your OK with refurbs you can get Acer Refurbs for about $500 and at normal price they're around $800-900 so you save a bit.
