I am building what looks to me to be a great system. I am getting good deals on all of the hardware. I did research for while to make sure I get the best bang for my buck, and this is what I came up with, I am eager to get the ball rolling on putting this system together, but I wanted to check with some individuals that have a vast knowledge of such things to assist me in my buying decisions......I thought about waiting for the new intel processor, but it's going to be too expensive for me....maybe next time around....

The Hardware I chose is as follows;

1 x Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Model #:Nine Hundred

1 x GIGABYTE GA-MA78GM-S2H AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Model #:GA-MA78GM-S2H

1 x SAPPHIRE 100242-1GL Radeon HD 4850 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card
Model #:100242-1GL

1 x Antec EA650 650W ATX12V Ver.2.2 / EPS12V version 2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply
Model #:EA650

1 x AMD Phenom 9950 2.6GHz Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core Black Edition Processor Model HD995ZXAGHBOX
Model #:HD995ZXAGHBOX

1 x OCZ Platinum Edition 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Quad Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ2P8008GQ
Model #: O C Z 2P8008GQ

2 x ASUS Black SATA DVD-ROM Drive Model DVD-E818A3T
Model #: D V D-E818A3T

And I am going to install Vista 64-Bit Ultimate Edition on the system....mainly for direct X 10.

Thanks Again for any assistance you can give me.....

by the way, I forgot to put storage in my list of hardware....

for storage I am going to use the 300 Gb Western Digital High Speed hard drive for the OS and Games, and a 1 Tb Sata Western Digital HDD for Storage

Thanks!

you could proabbly replace the 1tb with 2 640's for the same price...and if i may ask why 2 dvd roms? not a burner and a rom? otherwise id say its good...except im not a fan of amd but thats your choice.
