I just received my USB cable for my z500a and am trying to use it as a
modem to my dial-up ISP. After playing around with SE's Mobile
Networking Wizard, I finally got it to recognize and connect to the
phone. It dials, then gives me an "Error 678: Remote computer does not
respond". After calling SE, they claim that there is some firewall in
Windows that is preventing it from working, but couldn't tell me how to
disable it. (I had already disabled my McAfee)
Has anyone had this problem? How do I disable this? I never enabled
anything, it's just a Dell running XP out of the box. I tried
installing it on both my laptop (Toshiba running XP) and desktop, and I
get the same error.
