Geforce 9400GT worth it for the price?

The geforce 9400GT is going for really cheap and was wondering if it would be worth it to get it or just shell out 50 or so dollars more and get something better. At the moment Im running my gaming system with a Geforce 8600 GT 256 and its been running pretty well actually, being able to run games such as fallout 3, left4dead at max setting with decent frame rate. But, now im looking for something a little better and not so expensive as alot of the high end gfx cards are. How does the 9400GT compare to the 8600GT? is it going to be able to run highend games on high setting? Thanks for the help in advanced.

i don't even think that the 9400GT would be faster than the 8600GT. for $50 you could do alot better. you could get a radeon 4650 for $40 after rebate on newegg. that card would be well worth the money.

If you are gaming, a 9400GT would not be worth the money if they paid you$50 to take it off the shelf. Pass on this weak card, dig a little deeper into your piggy bank and go for something else.
Budget gamers card, IMHO.....the 9600GT is what you should be looking at.

I was thinking about buying this card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814127333 over the 8800 GT since its a little cheaper. is there a large gap in performance between these two cards, and is that card there going to be worth the cash?

I may also go to bestbuys tomorrow since its black Friday and was also wondering if new egg would have any sales tomorrow. thanks for all the help thus far.
