Hey, i'm building a new system and just wondering if my PSU is a good choice for the 4870 x2.

It's more than enough. However if I were you i would go with a more well known brand Corsair, Antec, OCZ. A 600-700 watt PSU should be more than enough

The HD4870x2 uses 264w of power at load, with the rest of your system a 650w would probably run it, but with overclocking, possible RAID, case fans, RAM etc. you're better off going with a quality 750w to keep it in the efficient part of it's power band. The Corsair 750w and PC Power and Cooling 750 are both $100 after rebates and with free shipping at Newegg right now and both get great reviews across the board, go with one of them.

I heard its better to have a Modular PSU. Is this true? If so, why? Should i get one and which one would you perfer?
