Would you buy an Nvidia card for CUDA enabled apps?

Its interesting to see that no major publisher has picked up on why Apple plans to continue to use Nvidia GPU's now even in it's lower end laptops. I saw an article that mentioned that it may be more cost effective for apple to use the Nvidia GPU over the Intel one, but that is not the reason. The reason is simple, obvious, and overlooked, Adobe. Adobe added GPU optimization via CUDA for most of the new CS4 software, Photoshop will run smoother, Premier will render faster, and provide more real time effects, this is the lifeblood of Apple, the graphics market, and anything that could keep them ahead of the pack is their number one priority. But so far, not ONE article looking at Apple's decision to switch to Nvidia has mentioned CUDA. I had read a few articles relating to the possibility of CS4 being optimized for Nvidia cards, so when I built my computer, I chose an 8800GT, and I wouldn't be surprised of I weren't the only one, Nvidia cards may not be the fastest gaming cards anymore, but in the long run CUDA will pay off.

Edit: Why isn't there a Mac section of the Tom's Hardware Fourms?

I'm not trying to start a flame wary here, just stating the point. The reason there is no mac section because this is an enthusiast computer site (ie building your system, overclocking, benchmarks, etc) and you dont get any of those options with mac.

True, but I think it might be nice to have just a overall mac section.

I would love to see some Benchmarks for the latest and greatest Macs... running Crysis at 4xAA @ 1920 x 1200 on Very High settings.

That would be good for a laugh, then we can all discuss liquid nitrogen cooling for extreme overclocking of the iPhone.

Scroll down. Not Very High, but High, and I guess no AA.

Not bad, better than I would have expected. High and No AA, but that's pretty good for Mac.
