Good temps?
Forum Overclocking : Cooler and Heatsinks - Good temps?
Hi everyone!
First off I would like to say that for a long time a read Tom's hardware forums and find it very helpful every time i come looking for answers whenever I need. This is a great website/forum.
So let me start with what matters.
I just built my first water cooling set up and I would like to get your opinion on my temps. I am only cooling my cpu" Phenom II 955 Black".
Right now These are my parts:
pump: MCP655
cpu block: Apoge GTZ
rad: mcr 320 qp
res: MCRES Micro Revision 2
Swiftech's HydrX UV coolant
Right now my cpu temps is 35C idle" while browsing" and room temp is 27C.
I am using Coretemp to look up my temps.
Look at my parts do these temps make sense for my processor?
I am getting my Corsair obsidian next week and with it I was thinking about maybe to upgrade some of my loop parts. Is there anything that would make sense for me to upgrade on my setup to bring the temps down ?
thanks a lot.

okay, i am going to let under load with prime 95 for half hour just so we can see the temps and let you guys know.
Prime 95 small ffts for the best CPU load. You got more than enough rad for your system. I don't know what high temps are for your chip.
What fans on the rad? Rad inside or outside the case? Cool air, not warm case air through the rad. These questions can mean 5-10C difference.
^Agreed. Usually if you have inside mounted rads, temps can be ~5-6C( or more) worse compared to outside mounted.

Hi,
The fans are 3 of those Scythe DFS123812-3000 .
yeah...it seems to be fine.
I guess there is no need to upgrade anything with this set up right?
No WC set up is going to get much better than that? I was thinking about getting that:

Hmm... I think I may need one if I get a 5870 (or 2) for Christmas
