i would suggest if you do upgrade dont go more than 3gb ram. if you put 4gb in your system your not going get all four gigs anyway. although ram is cheap. i dont know why you would have any problems with your setup though. i run a 2.6Ghz core two duo, 2gb of ram, and a 8600gt, and i can max out COD4 at 1680X1050 resolution. with vista 32bit.

Depends on his version of Vista. I don't see where he said he has 32 bit version.

Yes getting more ram in Vista is a good idea. I went from 3GB in Vista Ultimate 64 to 8GB and still noticed a difference. A good spot for Vista is 4GB. With all the updates and such, I do not know why people are still using XP.

4gb for vista is a sweet spot, I found quite a difference between 2gb and 4gb. I now have 8gb so I could turn off the pagefile completely, Ive had the pagefile off for a long time now with no problems, no more disk swapping for me.

On the subject of disks, I Should have my SSD drive monday as well, am going to be very interested to see what that does for performance in mmorpgs, and system boot speed etc. :)

i played COD4 (max settings@1440x900) with 2GB of RAM on vista and got 45fps. i used 9600GT. i dont see y wou should have a problem with 2GB.definately 4GB ram is goin to help things but i dont see y u need u get more ram to play COD4.whats ur fps......also, i noticed that the latest driver (177.xx) seems to degrade the cards performance......i use 175.19.....
