Hmm.... I'll assume similar or worse performance....

Buy the cheapest Radeon 3850 you can find, you should not buy any video card slower than that.

The same or worse than your present card. Here's a handy GPU hierarchy chart to check.

well i only have around 20-30 bucks to spend so i cant really go to the 3850, otherwise i'd go with the 4850

even a 50-70 card will not make any different for you

Dude you would be taking a big performance hit getting that HD3450. You would be paying money for LESS performance. You need to spend around $110 to get the minimum performance increase that you need for today's games which would be about an Nvidia 9600GT or an ATI HD3850

Work harder and make the money some how.

Just because 3450 is a higher number than 1650 does not mean that it is faster.

The first number for both ATI and Nvidia cards is the generation of the series. The last 3 digits of the card are more meaningful.

An ATI HD3450 is like the modern day equivalent of an ATI x1300 card which is definitely slower than your 1650. Yes a 3450 is likely faster than a 1300 but it does not come close to your 1650.

And by the way. An ATI 9250 is not faster than a HD4870
