I may have figured out the official Bloomfield release date according to the following information:

SF3D says the NDA will be lifted November 13. He has many pictures of the Foxconn motherboard.
http://www.xtremesystems.org/Forums/showthread.php?p=3328214#post3328214

And here's the new GIGABYTE X58 rev 0.2 board that hicookie posted:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forum [...] 58-Extreme

This seems to be on the same track as what the Aussie's say:
http://forums.overclockers.com.au/ [...] 32&page=21

and

X58 motherboards already for sale

Goes exactly in line with what Fudo told me as well:

Nehalem release date - 99.99% accurate:

If the QX9650 launched on a Monday, November 12, 2007, then it looks like we may have our release date guys!

Woohoo that means christmas 09 is gona kick ass.
cuz they will have all the bugs worked out and the prices will have dropped.

hmmm.... if they have them in the OEM channels and OEM PCs are set up to go on sale a week after I could see this getting decent sales for Christmas for those kids who get the Alienwares and what not.

lol those Alienware kids have no idea what they're in for (on terms other than gaming).

^well since they are the ones like this one guy I knew in highschool, liked PCs but knew jack sh*t about em and was given one by his parents for getting a 3.0 (sad thing is I was expected to get a 3.5+), all they will know is it will run fast.

Of course that is if the country can stop from falling into a recession until after Christmas.

I'm still in high school, if that counts.

Hopefully November sales, black friday, etc will bring stocks up a good marginal amount in time for the new year.

Then you'll see it on NewEgg for about 5 mins, then they will be out of stock, just to mess with people some more. :pt1cable:

Reply to Grimmy

Then it will show up in Aussie retailers with a stock level of "On order" or "ETA 2 years".

Everyones crazy for those new cores. Whatever happened to core duo? Aren't those still wonderful and they have 45nm for those now

Reply to NewLCD123

Bump

LOL!

Grimmy, then they will totally take it off the site for just a few hours and people will post on toms "i7 920 disappeared help!".

NewLCD, sure, it's a great cpu, but this is a huge change. Matter of fact, I just bought a pentium duo 45 nm.

Personally, I'm going to wait to see how it scales first and wait for all the flaws to be worked out. I'm satisfied with my overclocked e5200 for now. I'm surprised no one did any specific benches for this cpu. Kind of curious how it did against others.

I'm just happy that I was the first person online to post the release date of the Core i7 - a week before the press figured it out. :)

Silly kid,the release date was disclosed like 2 months ago,now you claimed yourself to be the first

Interestingly, the few places listing the Core i7 for pre-order have the low end model (2.66 Ghz) listed for close to $500 and not the $284 that all of the previous rumors had been suggesting.

The $284 price was the cost per unit if you bought 1000 units at a time if I remember correctly.

Exactly. We have also seen benchmarks and i7 wins in professional apps but no advantage in gaming. Stick with wolfdale dual core.

Depends on the game.

Sorry to say but, the release date wasn't known to the press or the public until October 3rd, 2008. We've known about a "November 2008" timeframe for over 9 months if that's what you wanted to hear. However, the date "November 17th" wasn't known until the first week of October.
