Hi, is there any way of checking your motherboard performance i.e version of chipset (used everest and it states X48, windows device manager says x38 and back of the motherboard box says chipset x38) and to see what speed the PCI Express is working at.

My specs:
Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit (clean install)
Q6600 overclocked to 3.0Ghz
3GB Ram
Asus Rampage Motherboard (could be x48 chipset)
Gigabyte HD4870x2 card
Zalman 750w PSU
Raidmax Sirius system case

The reason is because i have purchased a HD4870x2 and the performance of the card is terrible (same as my old 8800gt) i have done a clean install of Vist Ultimate thinking that might help but it has not done a thing.

With my HD4870x2 i get about 30-35 FPS in Crysis (begining of the game and middle onwards about 20-25), Settlers: Rise Of An Empire about 35 FPS, and Bioshock 35 maybe 40, but the thing is on all my games i get the same performance as when i was using my 8800gt. I wanted to find out if its my motherboard, or if the PCI Express 2.0 is not runnding as it should.
