Help burning a cd

I just dont want to throw it to the bin! It can read but it doesn't burn.
it's a LG GH22 SATA.
Does anybody think this could be non compatible with something?

I'm running Win7 so the file system should be NTFS,
I'm able to read CD's-DVD's but not able to burn anything.
My windows media player,on the burn tab says:Connect a burner and restart the player.
I tried uninstalling it but it doesn't seem to be changed.
I will post the log file if i can now.this is so annoying it's giving me a big sorehead.
LG just said i dont need to install any drivers that Windows will install what i need,a very hopeless message..
