Hi I've setup 3 dynamic disks as one large extended volume. They are 2x 1TB and 1x 500GB. I want to swap the 500GB drive out for another 1TB or 1.5TB can anybody suggest the best way of doing this?

back-up your data, remove the the 500GB, integrate the new drive, rebuild the JBOD, reinstall OS, restore data.

OS isn't on the dynamic disks and i'm going away from dynamic disks. While i'm not fussed about redundancy if one of the dynamic disks fails the whole volume goes, anyone think of a way i can have one large volume made up from several different disks but if one fails the data is still retrievable?
