there is no difference using a ssd disk, as it has MBR, DBR, partition table, too. The difference is that ssd disk is flash memory element, not a mechanical device. There are many tool to clone disks. I can recommend two with special features
Disk Copy, sector by sector copy, free
easeus partition master, resize target partition to fit for the partition size when clone the disk, free for home users.
