Specs:
Asus P5N-E SLI mobo
Intel Q6600 Quad Core Processor
4X1GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 RAM
Nvidia 260GTX (EVGA)
630W PSU (Raidmax Volcano)
570 GB HDD (2X Western Digital, 250 IDE, 320 SATA)
Sony AW-G170A CD/DVD Drive
Windows XP 32-bit

So my Sony AW-G170A isn't reading (or even recognizing) 2 discs of mine, that I know of. I have 2 DVD-based games (Painkiller: Overdose and Farcry 2), that are brand new, but the drive doesn't recognize the discs.

I insert them, get the CD-read cursor, but nothing happens. I click on the drive, it loads for awhile, and then opens up to an empty screen.

The funny thing is, it reads everything else just fine. The discs read fine in other drives. There is no reason why it shouldn't read the games. I even flashed the latest firmware!

Any ideas? I just wanna play my games...

I had a problem where my computer would not recognize DVDs, only CDs.
I would look for a motherboard bios update and apply all Windows updates in your case.
