Hi guys,
I plan a new build. Here is a list if parts i had on my mind.
OS Vista 64, It will be my main home computer, I will use it for games, internet, family videos, and virtualizations (Vmware). I plan 2 over clock this computer @3000-3200 MHz no extreme over clocking plans at the moment. Well for the parts:
Antec P182B
Gigabyte GA-EP35C-DS3R
Core 2 Quad Q6600
2 Corsair 4GB DDR2-800 Twin2X4096-6400 CL 4-4-4-12 DHX
Cooler Master Hyper TX 2 Socket 775
I am not sure about the GPU, the Twintech are realy cheep, I can get the 8800gts 512 at price of simple 8800 gt and the gt ver cost less than 9600gt, so it is tempting.
note: I have Samsung 226bw screen.
Twintech™ NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8800GTS 512MB DDR3 PCI-Express
Twintech™ NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8800GT 512MB DDR3 PCI-Express
Any advice will be more than welcome

22" Screen...? hmm....Are ya goin' SLI? Only 1 card will not be able to give you the perfect result for 22" (If you are a hardcore gamer).

I am not used using those twintech or whatever that is. Why not ASUS, MSI, eVGA, XFX. etc.?

Cooler Master Hyper TX 2? Why not something a lot better for example CNPS9700 or something else with the same or better performance? (Believe me, you will need this for above 3GHz on a quad core)

Care to consider the X38 chipset mobos?

note : not every q6600 can be pushed till above 3GHz. Some failed in several different occations. Probability in suceeding 80% (based on my experience).

I believe, you know for sure that your psu is enough for your system, if not than buy a new one.

Can’t say I am a hardcore gamer, and I don’t want two cards in my system.
The Cooler Master Hyper TX cost here 50 USD, the CNPS9700 110. After positive review on Toms I used one in a build on OC q6600 and it was great. Don’t think the CNPS9700 will do much better. I will use 8gb of ram, so extreme over clocking is out of the question any way.
I have unlimited access to parts so I will find q6600 that I need, don’t wary about it.
Twintech 8800GT 512MB cost here 260 USD eVGA 375, do the math.
The mombo I want easily over clocked it has all the futures I need and it is cheap, about 176 USD, cheapest x38 280, and I can’t really see the point.
I will use Disks and PSU form my old System, PSU Thermaltake 750 Watt, 2 36gb raptors and 4 320gb wd raid disks.
I don’t know about the case the Antec P182B don’t come cheap it cost 240 USD here. The Antec 900 doesn’t have dust filters, they are must have in my case.

Meine Gute!...I thought that europe has the most expensive prices on earth compares to USA.
CNPS9700 is indeed better than Coolermaster hyper tx but I didn't think it would be so expensive. I have bought it for about $54. The other things are also incredibly expensive.

BTW, 750W for Q6600 @ 3GHz with only a 880GT is way too much. 450-650W is enough. But since you don't have to buy them, well...it will do just fine.

Actually I am From Israel, and yeah the prices here sky hi. Btw the Twintech is out of the question;, I don’t trust the dealer in Israel and i can get stack with no warranty. Back to square one than ^_^

hmmm...I find it a little hard to help you choosing the correct components, because of the very high prices.
hmmm.....do you have any preference for your VGA card? (beside this twintech)
that meant also for the other components. Write them down here and we'll review it for you. how's that?

Price range here
8800GT 300-360USD
8800GTS 330- 460USD
9800GTX 470-500 USD
What you think off INNOVISION I-Chill 8800GT OC 320USD
http://www.inno3d.com/products/gra [...] ero_x1.htm
Companies with solid distributers and good service (Asus, Innovision, Gigabyte, Leadtek, Palit)
The Mombo 185USD btw
And I am still not sure about the case. Dust is my enemy , so please take it under consideration.

Dude, Asus and GByte were always my favs.
And dont u worry about the price... After all its peanuts for u,
because at the end of the day u looking for reliability and performance as one, now dont u?

After all, I think Ill take me 9800 GTX (GV-NX98X512H-B)

8800GTS - Core clock 650, Memory Clock 1940(970), Shader Processing Rate 624.0
9800 GTX - Core clock 675, Memory Clock 2200(1100), Shader Processing Rate 648.0

More or less, everything the same, except that 9 series support OpenGL 2.1

hmmm...
My Mobo Favs are also only ASUS and Gigabyte.
hmmm...
That is a hard choice....hmm...I prefer minimum 8800GTS or 9800, if you can afford it, but it seems that it is a little too expensive. If you don'T have enough money than 8800GT is your choice.
