I have a ASUS P5B Deluxe/WiFi-AP LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard

It has Dual 10/100/1000Mbps Ports

I connected each port to my router (LINKSYS WRT54GS) and notice that only one is being used.

What is the point of dual LAN ports?
