Wow! My first post. Am I psyched. :bounce:

Well, right to it.

I am planning to build a PC similar to the System Builder Marathon: Low-Cost System. I like most of the choices there. One exception is the motherboard.

I am planning to use the GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-DS4 because I want to keep my options open to add a second GPU later.

Will this cause any problems for me? Will this MB have any problems with the NZXT Apollo case used in the build? I do like the case and the price.

I have only built one machine before and am a bit apprehensive. Any help for an old man would be greatly appreciated.

I am using this Mobo with the NZXT Tempest and I love it. I would strongly recommend going with it, especially if you want to add another GPU down the line.

Also thinking of getting this mobo with

AMD Phenom 9550 2.20Ghz x4
HIS ATI Radeon HD 4670 IceQ Turbo 512MB GDDR3
2x1GB 1066MHz Black Dragon DDR2

PSU decision is still pending. Anybody got any comments on that or reccomendations? They will be greatly appreciated.

Also thinking of overclocking, anybody with this mobo care to shed some light on the oc capabilitys? thanks.

I just got this board about a week ago. I haven't had any issues I overclocked my 4600+ brisbane to 3.2ghz from 2.4 So its a good board and I think I can get it to 3.4 with the right cooling
