Run the Seagate Diagnostic/Repair software off a floppy, can download it from the the Seagate sight assuming both drives are Seagates, other wise get the software from the mfg web site. Try a different SATA connector. Are both drives recognized in the BIOS and Windows?

Hi!
Yes BIOS shows both SATA drives. But Win XP doesn't load or simply hangs while starting up [booting up].

NOTE: It happens when I attach second SATA drive with system. If only one SATA is attached, then WIN XP boots normally.

In the BIOS make sure the SATA with the OS is number one and the other is number 2. Try a different connector and/cable

Thanks for quick reply.

I have used three different cables/connecters which were working fine with primary SATA drive on other compurters and on my computer. But when I use these cables, then problem starts.

2- I have checked in Bios. Primary SATA is above the secondary SATA in order.

Can you explain a little bit what about OS attach you mean?

Thanks in advance
