Would this board (Abit KN9 SLI) take an AMD Phenom Quad 9600/9700 or Quad opteron :bounce:

the latest BIOS is talking about a CPU micro code update, is this for the Phenom?
also are both pci-e slots 16x so 16x SLI or are they split x8 and x8 for SLI?

Considering that the latest BIOS on that board was released in July already and Phenom was only launced a couple of weeks ago, I'd say no. Their website has no specific link to CPU support. I've downloaded that BIOS you are referring to. It's a zip file. When you unzip it, there is a text file which states that the CPU microcode was updated and it mentions about support for Sempron LE series CPU's as well. Sorry I can't be of more help.Perhaps check out Abit's forum pages.
