I need some advice regarding my current PSU please. It is as follows:

Thermaltake TR2-500 with the following ratings on the label:
+3.3V 30A
+5V 28A
+12V(1) 14A
+12V(2) 15A
-12V 0.3A
+5VSB 2A

The rest of the system is as follows:
Albatron KM51 Mobo (S939)
Athlon 64 4000+ (San Diego) not overclocked
Gainward 8800GTS 320 not overclocked
2 x Corsair CMX1024-3500LLPRO
SB Live! 24-bit sound card
WD 250GB Sata II 16MB Cache HD
LG DVD Writer
Philips 170B LCD @ 1280x1024 (60Hz)

Is the power supply good enough to power the above or do i need to upgrade to something better to power everything okay?

yeah it should be fine. I just bought a new PSU and that is one of the ones i considered - However, i went with the Antec Earthwatt W430..yes only 430W but it has 30A on 12 line and is considered (in general) a better PSU:

only $29.99!!! Watts are overrated - this PSU can handle your system just as well.
