Hi ppl, for the last 10 days i tried to solve a weird problem, that appears over thin air.
I have a 1MB connection, that works fine with browsers like IE, Firefox, Safari, opera. I can make total use of my bandwith if i download from a ite using a browser, but,´
when i use some kind of p2p(i try emule, azureus,dc++,grabit(newsgroups),shareaza), my down goes to a maximum of 5kbps and my up goes to top 3kbps.

I disable all the firewaals , including the worm protection of norton 2007. i´ve change the tcp and udp ports several times and nothing.
I´ve istaled several programs to boost p2p connections like limmeware ultra, and nothing
. I´ve searched over the web including the d-link forums and find nothing about this situation

10 days ago it was working just fine. i didn´t install any new software. i´ve formated my pc but the problem is still on
my modem is a d-link DWL-G700AP

Please Help

Marcus

do you have the proper port forwarding configured on your router? the super slow download speed like that with BT or similar programs normally indicates issues with that.

Make sure all firewalls are disabled.
Make sure the ports you set it to use in the program are forwarded to your pc in your router setup.

Those two steps should fix it.

i´ve tried in 2 notebooks and iget the same problem, p2p software of any type goesto a max of 5kbps.
my service provider said that they aren´t blocking any port.
Does anyone have the same problem???

Just because they say so doesn't mean that they aren't.
Anyway you are dependent on the other computers upload speeds.
