"the connection to the server was reset while the page was loading"

that is the message IE and mozilla give me when i try to go any website, funny thing is, i can still play css and any other game in steam, use icq, and anything else with the internet, the other computer on my LAN works perfect.

...im kinda stumped...

mobo: asus K8S-LA (salmon)
proc: amd sempron 3000+
psu: xion 550 w
vid card: ati radeon x1650pro 512 mb agp8x
ram: patriot pc3200 2x 512mb
OS: xp home

i recently added the ram, went from 512 to 1G no problem, i also added teh vid card which i think may have something to do with it, keep reading...

so as i was installing the new ati drivers for the new vid card, "for the ATI CCC (catalyst control center) to function properly i needed to have ".net framework 2.0" from microsoft...

soooo i got that and finished the install, no problems, no glitches as of yet, then i restarted the computer, and bAm! no webpages will load....except for dish network, and occasionaly random pages that i try...WTF am i right? or just an idiot? combo of both? perhaps...

ummm ya HALP!!! i need prOn :kaola:

p.s. ya i know my pc is super old! saving for new one

uninstall CCC, uninstall .Net 2.0 and see if problem still exists. If not do a reinstall of .net and test again. If it still works install CCC if you want.

agreed its either the CCC drivers, or the net 2.0 drivers.

take both off and see if it works again.
