Hi all. I'm coming at you guys with something that is troubling me very much. My ultimate goal is to be able to submit a print job from my wife's laptop to the printer connected to my computer. I have tried many many things, but to no avail. The strange thing is that I have my laptop set up the same as hers, but I am able to see my computer and access the printer.
First, some information about the systems.

Computer with the printer:
-Windows XP Professional SP3
1. the printer is set to shared
2. all other types of sharing are enabled in control panel
3. media sharing is enabled.
4. network/printer sharing protocol is enabled and working
5. Workgroup name: MSHOME

My wife's laptop:
-Windows Vista Home Premium SP1
1. All sharing is enabled in the control panel
2. All proper networking drivers are installed and enabled.
3. Cannot see the Computer with the printer on it with the monitor icon.
4. Can see view media from this computer (confusing)
5. Workgroup name: MSHOME

My laptop:
-Windows Vista Home Premium SP1
1. All sharing is enabled in the control panel
2. All proper networking drivers are installed and enabled.
3. Can see the computer with the printer on it with the monitor icon.
4. Can send print jobs to printer and successfully print a document over the network.
5. Can see view media from this computer also.
6. Workgroup name: MSHOME

No firewalls are blocking the connection or Windows Defender on the Vista machines. I've never had any problem networking computers before, is there something that I'm missing???
