I'm putting this in wireless because My computer uses a

SET-UP: Linksys WMP300N Wireless network adapter to connect to the internet.
I have windows vista ultimate installed. With Kaspersky Anti-Virus.
My internet connection goes like this.
Qwest --> Motorola Modem to Linksys 300N router.
I also have a buffalo wireless G airstation that provides a connection to a computer and an xbox in another room.

PROBLEM:
For some reason when my computer first turns on, the connection won't give me a connection to the internet, it sticks on identifying for up to 10 minutes before finally putting me through.

I also use bittorrent occasionally and for some reason the icon at the bottom of the screen is yellow. I have tried opening ports in both the modem and router menus but must be doing something wrong. My speeds are spotty, sometimes really good then start to sag.

Thanks in advance!
