Hello folks I have a very interesting problem, I loaded vista sp1 HP Pavilion dv6105us Notebook PC on my and right after that I had no wireless.

That’s all I was using until I loaded vista sp1.

It’s not in the device manager, or anywhere, it’s as if I never had it.

Also the switch that you can turn on wifi used to be blue but no matter the position on or off its orange.

This happened directly after I loaded sp1.

Called Hp and they think it’s a hardware problem that to me does not make since because that would mean that it was coincidental that happen.

I believe it’s another problem after loading vista sp1, I could be wrong of course.

Any ideas good people.

Thanks……………….Robert

Almost interesting. I suspect HP are right about hardware because the wireless indicator light is presumably hardwired and not subject to the vagaries of firmware or operating system.

However, I would check the computer's BIOS setup screens in case wireless has been, coincidentally, disabled at that point. BIOS options usually kick in if you depress Del as the computer powers up -- from there it may be F1 or F2.

Of course you could try System Restore to go back to before the SP1 Update.
