Ummm, what country do you live in? If an employee lies, *HE'S* responsible
for lying, not the company...

Well, I used to take the train and commute for about an hour each way and
walk from/to the station... Millions of others do too. Train was Electric.
Haven't heard that they pollute a lot.

I live in the USA, where a company is responsible for everything that is
done and said in its name.

Not if he is acting as an agent for or representative of the company.
