I have a Dell Optiplex 170L computer that was donated by the Muscular Distrophy Society. The problem is there is an Admin user acct, so I am unable to download etc.... I have call their offices, but they refuse to reset the password. Say it's a security breach? Anyway, I think I can use the F11 key if there is a restore partition on the hard drive? I'm not sure their is. If not, do I have any options short of buying a OS?

Thanks, Amy

If you see a blue bar with white letters that say www.dell.com after the BIOS splash screen, you can hit Ctrl F11 to boot from the recovery partition.
