Windows Defender? Start>control panel>add/remove programs/windows defender. Right click on it and remove.

Windows System Defender is a virus/worm etc. I don't mean Windows Defender

You want to remove a virus? Have you tried running an anti virus software? If so and unsuccessfully, sometimes the only way to illievate the problem is a fresh reformat and reinstallation of the OS. Be sure to back up all the important data while you still can.

My friend at work has this problem. She has tried a couple of AV software (s..?). none of them fix the problem properly. She is indeed now going to do an OS reinstall.
