inspiron 531s.xp home, logs to blk screen with info,strike f1 retry boot, boots to window ok, little slow start up, can run programs mabey 5-15 min shuts logs,shuts down on its own!! retry start blue light on button,off. took it to two shops both wanted to sell me used comp,150.00, seems thatsd the price for reinstal xp or fixing anything!!.
can get into programs but will shut down on its own. auto restart disabled. cleaned,vaced everuthing,checked all wires, reconnected all and re started. need the simple plan,I hope. well yesterday turned on and everything worked excelent!!except had to f1 to retry boot at start to open windows,stayed on 45min before shutting down, cannot find shutdown disable,enable or change power options. help please!! dave
