I have found Nod32 to be very very good indeed, as for reg fixers i tend not to use them in Vista as they are mostly setup to be used in XP

I use Avira and ccleaner. They are both free and work great.

Malwarebytes is also a top notch antimalware program (also free).

i have been using nod32 for the last three years and found it very effective and you can forget about as its update by it self and also malwarebytes is top notch too along with spybot search & destroy, combinations of these three my computer has been safe from all nasties attacks.

BTW as for registry cleaner....i bet some people will agree with me that Registry Mechanic is a safe app to use and does the job.
