I did a Windows Update for my sister's laptop (she has a Gateway MX3225 notebook). When I press Function F2 the onboard wireless light will not come on.

It is not listed in the network section either (no option for wireless).

What happened and how do I fix this?

I even downloaded drivers for the onboard wireless and reinstalled and no luck.
