I have had installation problems (involving the following games) so far

Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion
Crysis Warhead
Battlestations Pacific

on Vista Home Premium SP2 on my new Acer Aspire 8930G notebook.

The installer installs a few files and sooner or later will stall the bar during the installation, not processing the data.
The games end up being NOT installed either stopped by an error message that comes an hour later or continuous stall.

Any help would be appreciated ~ Thanks in advance.

Any particular error message?
Maybe some system information or anything to be a bit more helpful?

Any help would be appreciated~Thanks in advance

It sounds like the drive may be having a problem.
Try to make a folder and copy the entire cd into that folder and see if it can complete.
If not the drive could be the problem.

the file also happens to be "corrupt" when i try to copy it

A drive cleaner could help but I have never had one help me.
A new drive doesnt cost much and should solve your troubles.

The drive isn't totally busted though, it reads a few other games that I have properly.
Only the ones I have listed above.
Does SATA work with e-SATA slots? If so I want to try using one of my desktop's drives to install it.
