I have been trying to download Americas Army 2.8.2 over the past week

Here are my two systems I have tried

Gateway from 5 years ago: 2.4ghz P4, 100Mbs LAN, 1.25gb Ram, 40gb free hdd

Dell from one or two years ago: 2.8ghz P4, 100Mbs LAN, 1.25gb ram, 160gb free HDD (Both XP and Linux)

Both have norton internet security (dell expires in 30 days) and are connected through a linksys WRT54GS router which I dont have acess to the control panel, through a comcast cable modem with 6-10mbit down

My attempts and downloading
Sites: AAOTracker, Offical Torrent, Filefront
Utilities: Firefox built in downloader, Down them all, Linux Firefox, Linux Wget command

The 2.8.2 file is almost 3 gb (like 2.9) and it always freezes up at 2.7gb so I decided that was a huge waste of time so now I am trying to do 2.7 in two parts with all the patches... all the patches worked just fine including the 900MB one

I didn't sucessfully download 2.7 on the dell yet or make an attempt but on the gateway the first time it freezed at 34% the second time at 7% done...

So my question is, is there anyway to fix this, is there a router setting that is capping downloads or possibly a BIOS or modem (comcast) setting that is screwing me over?

I really want to get this downloaded without having to get my friend to bring over his portable hdd for every release

try this it might help either disable you norton while you are doning the download. Also have you tried to use IE to download

Use firefox. IE has been having problems with ie7. Also try connecting directly to your comcast router without the linksys in between
