Hey guys!

I wondered if motherboard SLI support is necessary for running 2 Nvidia cards in SLI or not?

Like if I buy any P35 motherboard with 2 PCIe slots for CrossFire, would SLI also work?

Sorry if the question are a bit odd or if the answer seems obvious.

no, it wont work. SLI needs an SLI mobo and CF needs a CF mobo.

SLI and CROSSFIRE are two entirely different pieces of software/hardware.To run SLI you need a SLI motherboard. To run CROSSFIRE,you need a CROSSFIRE motherboard.Although each board will support the competitors cards individually, they will NOT run two of the competitors cards in their respective configurations.Sorry to burst your bubble.Goodluck.
