So i've been running the Folding@Home GPU Client (currently version 6.23) on my Vista machine for a while w/ no problems...
I installed Windows 7 last week and i've noticed that Folding@Home will crash every-now-and-then bringing the whole computer down w/ a good old BSOD.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue? Just not use the client until an update?

My computer is:
AMD: Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2991 MHz
Mobo: Gigabyte M57SLI-S4 v.2
RAM: 4GB Mushkin DDR2 PC2-6400
OS: Vista 64bit SP2
VC: EVGA 8800 GTS 320MB

i've tried driver version 191.07 & also 195.39

I'm using 191.07 on a 9500GT with W7 and have not had a single crash, but I did find that the 195.39's caused Rivertuner to crash. I'm wondering [:grahamlv:3] if it may be that the older G80 GPU and W7's newer drivers may not be playing well together, have you tried any pre W7 drivers?

no,
it would seem that those would be even more unstable

I would attempt the Vista drivers--may work since they are similar in design. You don't have to, of course--but it may work!
