As some of you might have noticed I haven't been on THG for the past two weeks. I have been busy doing a BIOS mod for the DS3 (F9) that I bought on ebay for $60(without manual, cables, etc). Tried to add instant OEM activation for Vista (I have a legal RTM version)(Link)
and to get better Voltage settings, but unfortunately something went *VERY WRONG* and now it won't boot up. Im pretty sure that this was after my modding because I ran the usual set of torture tests before doing the modding. Tried reflashing old BIOS but no luck. Removed battery to clear settings and did just about everything that I could think about. None of the other parts were damaged as they are working perfectly on my other setup. Here was my setup during modding:
(This is/was one of my 4 PC's)
1 GB CORSAIR RAM
DS3 Rev 1.0
Intel E4300 (didn't risk my E6600)
7100GS (I didn't use my 8800GTX on this because i didn't want to risk it.)
120 GB Seagate
Vista/XP Dual Boot
Well this was the set up. Up graded the BIOS (F9 without mod) because the original was F5 or F4. Started modding using some tools I found and have used in previous mods in the P4 era notably Fherd and Hiew. After adding the code required for activation I flashed the BIOS. That was the first and last thing I did to the BIOS after the flash there was no POST and no beep code. Left it on for about 30 minutes and cut off main power. (fans were spinning , hard drive load, etc)Wont POST so reflashed old BIOS and I get a bad check sum error and then keeps rebooting. As mentioned above I tried ***EVERY THING***. Any help on how to get the DS3 working would be very helpful. (Could I possibly replace the EEPROM :?: ) Well tat was my work for the past two weeks. Hope some one else has better luck with a mod for this.

Email gigabyte asking about if a messed up bios will cause this, but DO NOT tell them you modded your bios as that would void your warranty, simply ask for a new bios chip
